Signs Throughout Krakow, Poland. | My Meena Life

Signs Throughout Krakow, Poland.

If I ever own a brick and mortar store, you can bet that I’ll have a unique sign.  I have learned a thing or two from Europe about the value of a lovely sign.  One city stood out above the rest, however.  Nearly every sign in Krakow caught my eye and made me want to stop and snap a photo.  Perhaps I was paying more attention since I had recently read this post by Travel Gumbo about the signs of Krakow.  Either way, I would have been happy to wander the streets and look at signs (and other lovely sights) all day long.  Here’s a sampling of the signs I saw on our trip.

Do you love to look at signs when you travel?  Which of these was your favorite?

  1. I love this post! I always enjoy capturing street signs, sign posts, traffic signs, you name it when I'm abroad so this was my type of post!

  2. What a great idea, to take photos of the different styles of signs. I'm going to keep this in mind for my travels. Lots of color and variety here!

  3. I love spotting little details like this – Paris is good for signs too but Krakow has a real variety. The gold one is gorgeous. Thanks for linking up with #citytripping

  4. I have never paid much attention to the signs before, but I think I would start doing so after this! #CityTripping

  5. These signs are amazing! What a cool thing to document. I have to admit, I haven't really paid much attention to signs during my travels, but I also don't think I've ever been anywhere with this many amazing ones! Thanks for linking up for #wanderfulwednesday! 😀

  6. how fun! My moms side of the family is 100% Polish, and they are dang proud of it! in fact, my moms great-grandmother grew up in Krakow, so we always refer to it as the "homeland". My mom visited last year, but I haven't made it there yet. Looking forward to the day that I do. 🙂

  7. Vegan kebabs sound interesting! I definitely watch out for signs but I love those with a different alphabet the most as it can be so funny to try and figure out what they might say 😀

  8. I love catching all of the little details in the cities that I visit, and it looks like Krakow is pretty awesome in the signage department! I love the one of the girl holding the stop sign!

    1. Yes, Krakow had so many signs it was hard to decide which to photograph. I’ve been trying to figure out what the girl was holding – thanks for helping me with that!

  9. Such a fun post! What a great idea to stop and look at all of the signs we pass everyday, and look closer 🙂 So fun!

  10. Cool idea for a post – it's the details of the places we visit that makes them so special 🙂

  11. Great post! I visited Krakow this summer and while I saw some of these signs, I definitely wasn't looking for them. Makes me want to go back and see them all 😀 #citytripping
